Wānaka Rotary Park Playground sits on the Lake Wānaka lakefront at 36 Wānaka-Mount Aspiring Road, near That Wānaka Tree. Queenstown Lakes District Council rebuilt the play space in 2021 with topography mounds and rubber rocks echoing the surrounding mountains, spinning balance balls, balance steps, swings, climbing structures, a trampoline and a concrete scooter track around the edge. Picnic seating, toilets, parking and lake-shore walks complete the site.

They said "you must see the tree when in Wanaka" so we did. Beautiful spot. Parking can be an issue in busy times but well worth stopping.
