Roys Bay Recreational Reserve — better known as Wānaka’s Dinosaur Park — sits on the Lake Wānaka waterfront, accessed from Ardmore Street or a lakeside path off Lakeside Road. The fenced playground is famous for the iconic dinosaur-shaped slide, alongside a mini spacenet climber, seesaw, toddler swings, smaller slide and mosaic art around the lakeside trees. A large carpark, BBQ area, picnic spots and grass run-around space surround the play space; the central Wānaka township is walkable.

The min we arrived in wanaka my daughter seen the huge dinosaur slide and demanded to go there. She loved it that was the biggest slide she's ever been on. Nice and clean. Would definitely go back next time in area. I can't quite remember but I think my only concern would of been wasn't completely fenced off on one side by carpark which could be dangerous.

Amazing park for kids and families. It's located right in front of the lake and walking distance to good restaurants. …
