The Te Awamutu Rose Garden is a heritage Waipa District Council rose garden on Gorst Avenue with over 2,500 roses across 56 beds. Since the 2018 Te Awamutu Recreation Hub upgrade, the adjacent Pioneer Park playground and Pop n' Good Bike Park have joined the garden as a single destination. The playground features a sliding tunnel built into the slope, a new water-play area, a custom-designed tower for older kids, balance and climbing equipment, and a fully fenced under-fives area. Around it are picnic tables, shaded seating under mature trees, public toilets and the mini bike skills park.

A beautiful park full of different Rose gardens and amazing trees with a wonderful children's playground just next to it. A lovely place to stop off at and visit.

A great place for a stroll or lunch stop, a great array of beautiful Roses, have a picnic or walk the dog and carry on your the kids playground. Something for everyone in our beautiful Rose Town 🌹 ❤️ Rose Sunday on the last Sunday in November is a wonderful celebration of this space too. …
