Albert Park is a 15.5-acre recreation reserve on Albert Park Drive in Te Awamutu, classified by Waipa District Council under the Reserves Act 1977. The park is best known as a club cricket and rugby union ground but also has a children's playground beside the sports fields, walking and running paths through open lawn and the Waipa Workingmen's Club at one end. It is a relaxed neighbourhood spot rather than a destination playground, suited to combining a kick-around with a stop at the play area.

Went to The Great Extravaganza. Was great as always but due to covid bollox, there was a gate- 1 person out! 1 in.Not nice in the humidity and sun in a queue for ages. Not their fault though. Its the gummint 'policy'- as if an arbritrary number makes a difference.Just takes 1 infested vector to spread it everywhere. At least they are still operating.Shame they don't come bi annually. Its been a great TA public facility that used to hold the A&P show. Not sure why that doesnt occurvanymore.Great old grandstand- marred by ex mayoral ego projects extension- but thats another story.
