Pioneer Park in Te Awamutu is Waipā District Council’s headline recreation hub, opened in 2018 with the Pop n’ Good Bike Park alongside an upgraded destination playground. The fully fenced junior area features a custom tower, Tree Castle, Duo units, embankment tube slides and balance play, laid out as an accessible circuit for active, sensory, social and imaginative play. Picnic tables, parking and the adjoining Selwyn Park rose gardens round out the site.
