Newtown Park Play Area is a Wellington City Council neighbourhood play space at 200 Daniell Street in Newtown, immediately next to Wellington Zoo. The inclusive redesign centres on a tall Tree House fort with dual slides, rope ladder, fireman's pole and wooden stairs, paired with a Flying Saucer swing set, an Inclusive Spinning Bucket with high back and hand grips, and a Hungry Caterpillar rocker for multiple kids. Artificial-grass safety surfacing, a picnic table and shaded seating make it a comfortable combine-with-the-zoo stop. Suits a wide age range and accessibility needs.
