Melrose Park Kids Play Area is a small Wellington City Council playground on Sutherland Crescent in Melrose, tucked into a bush setting right next to Wellington Zoo. The play space sits alongside football fields, an artificial cricket strip, changing rooms, parking, and toilets, with walking tracks branching off into the surrounding bush. Pair with a zoo visit for an easy half-day. A relaxed local stop rather than a destination playground.

Pretty cool park right next to the zoo with surrounding bush. Is a pretty tight road to get down to the park, but there is a small car park. There's at least 3 walking tracks that branch off the park to lead you on a walk around the local bush area. The park also had toilets and a small playground for the little ones.
No toilets open. Got water their to drink. Has a small play ground and panic table. Also has bench seats.
