Newtown Public Play Park is a Wellington City Council fenced play space on Constable Street, next door to the Newtown Library. The 2024 upgrade added a dual flying fox, a tall climbable tower with three long slides, a transferable carousel, talk tubes, musical panels and a sensory play module, with synthetic safety surfacing on the more accessible equipment. Public toilets, a drinking fountain and 20-minute parking on Constable Street round out the package. Best treated as a destination Wellington inclusive playground stop combined with a library visit.

Next to the library, and Newtown village. Accessible by public transport. Small, but popular with local families and children. Public toilets next to it, as well as a possibility of a drinking fountain located in the playground. Fully fenced off too for child safety.
