Morgan Park is Hauraki District Council's main recreation reserve in Waihī, renamed in 1990 from the Recreation Ground to honour the Morgan/Gilmore family. The site combines a children's playground, a skate bowl, floodlit sports fields, croquet court and pavilion, bowling green and tennis/netball courts with a newly completed Velosolutions pump track. The wider Waihī Outdoor Recreation Hub upgrade is adding adult exercise equipment, a wheelchair swing, a replacement skatepark, revitalised playground and carpark/toilet upgrades; a strong community sports-and-play hub.
