Herries Park is a Matamata-Piako District Council reserve (officially Herries Memorial Park) on the eastern bank of the Waihou River in south-eastern Te Aroha, on land originally donated to the town by Mokena Hou and later endowed by Sir William Herries. The northern half holds the Te Aroha Athletics Club clubhouse, athletics track, public toilets, and the childrens playground (a recent council upgrade), while the southern half is leased for grazing and includes a go-kart track. A community sports park rather than a destination playground.
