Boyd Park

Boyd Park is Matamata-Piako District Councils main sports park in Te Aroha on the corner of Stanley Avenue and Spur Street, split between sports fields and the Howarth Memorial Wetland. The developed third hosts Te Aroha Tennis and Squash with hard and lawn courts plus three squash courts, Te Aroha Netball with six courts, and rugby and soccer fields, plus a childrens playground for sibling run-around. The remaining two thirds is wetland with a walking track and a bird-watching hide for keen spotters. A community sports park and wetland reserve rather than a destination playground.
