Meola Reef Reserve (Te Tokaroa) is a 15-hectare nature reserve on Meola Road in Western Springs, Auckland, formed by the final portion of an 11km lava flow from Mt Saint John volcano more than 28,000 years ago. The reserve has gravel walking tracks through bush, mangroves and salt marsh out to the reef edge, with central Auckland's only fully fenced year-round off-leash dog park, two car parks off Meola Road, a drinking fountain and harbour views.
