Coxs Bay Reserve Playground sits inside Auckland Councils 14 hectare coastal reserve on West End Road in Westmere, fronting the mangrove-lined Coxs Bay. The fenced playground features a tall tubular-slide tower, climbing structures, monkey bars, and dedicated toddler pieces, with picnic tables, BBQs, drinking fountains, outdoor fitness gear, and changing rooms nearby. Wide sports fields support touch rugby comps and there are off-leash dog areas and walking tracks around the bay. Well-regarded by Westmere families, though shade is limited on hot days.

Went to play the touch rugby league. Got smashed by a good team but it was a good game overall bearing my injured right knee. It was my first time playing in a proper setting with a referee in place.
