Salisbury Reserve is an Auckland Council waterfront reserve at the end of Salisbury Street in Herne Bay, with a toddler-leaning playground tucked off a no exit street within walking distance of the beach and the Jervois Road cafes. The play space leans little-kid friendly with swings, slides, monkey bars, and a sand play area shaped by two large concrete eels, plus picnic tables, seating, and a drinking fountain. The reserve is home to the Herne Bay Petanque Club. A well-regarded local stop for pre-schoolers rather than a destination playground for older kids.

Salisbury Reserve is an enjoyable place for both families and individuals since offering a well-kept playground and large grassy areas ideal for picnics and leisurely activities. Unfortunately, the overflowing rubbish bins, which aren’t emptied frequently, severely reduce the park’s cleanliness and create a hygiene concern. The local council must take prompt action to resolve this problem and preserve the park’s attractiveness…..

Quiet little playground with a couple swings, small slides, and other equipment. Lots of space to run around. Close walk to the beach at home bay...
