Ascot Park is one of Porirua’s main sports reserves, home to the Bernie Wood Turf, rugby league fields, a sports pavilion and tennis, basketball and boules courts. The children’s play area sits inside the park with shelter, sandy bays and shaded seating, and is bordered by Conclusion Walkway, the Staithes Scenic Reserve and a 5000m² fenced dog exercise area. Parking, toilets and wheelchair-accessible paths are on site.
