Browns Bay Playground is a Porirua City Council waterfront playground in Browns Bay Reserve on Postgate Drive in Whitby, on the shore of Pauatahanui Inlet. The recent upgrade kept popular pieces requested by the community (glide ride, swings, slide) and added a flying fox plus a unique timber boardwalk inlaid with 12 bells that play different tones as you step on them. Pair with a stroll around the inlet edge. A quieter waterfront stop for Whitby families rather than a destination playground.
