Ascot Park Playground sits inside Porirua City Councils 38.9 acre Ascot Park on Conclusion Street, between Aotea and Papakowhai, beside the Conclusion Walkway and Staithes Scenic Reserve. The park anchors community sport with the Bernie Wood Turf, rugby league fields, sports pavilion, tennis, basketball, and boules courts, plus a bike path and the refreshed playground (community-voted design opened 2021) with a flying fox, climbing pieces, swings, and slides. Toilets and parking on site. A solid sports-led community hub rather than a quick playground stop.

Beautiful location in Porirua & great facilities for weekend sports. Good playground too

The Flying Fox is very popular with children. The Grounds Manager does a great job at keeping the grounds maintained. There are a few courts, including the ones inside the enclosure, a large playground for the children and a large field for sports athletes to utilise. Inter-school games every weekend. The public toilets/ changing rooms are usually open.
