Browns Bay Park is a Porirua City Council neighbourhood reserve on Postgate Drive in Whitby, with a stream, coastal views, picnic seating and the memorial rose garden and bridge commemorating three local teenagers who died in the 1990s. The upgraded playground sits on new soft-fall surfacing with a stand-on timber boardwalk inset with 12 musical bells that play different tones, plus a kickabout lawn and shelter. It is a quiet local neighbourhood stop rather than a destination playground.
