Timaru Botanic Gardens is a heritage Timaru District Council botanic-garden park entered off Queen Street near King Street, opening daily from 8am to dusk. The gardens hold mature plant collections, glasshouses, picnic lawns and a children's playground with swings, slides and a multi-route climbing structure designed for a range of ages, with parking near the main entrance.
