Anzac Square is the heritage park of the Parkside suburb in Timaru, on Rose Street, blending well-maintained gardens, mature shade trees, and World War memorials with a playground and picnic spots. The play area sits among lawns and flower beds, with swings, picnic tables, and a cricket pitch beside the Century Pool complex. Plenty of mature-tree shade makes it a comfortable picnic stop on warm South Canterbury days. More of a reflective community park than a destination playground.

An opportunity to pay your respects to our fallen soldiers but you'd be able to sit with a coffee and take a break. A constant traffic flow doesn't give you peace and quiet but that's not the point of this location.
