Lough Park sits in a sheltered gully between Wilson Street and Avenue Road in Timaru, with the $88,000 6m Eagle's Nest climbing tower (added in recent years) as its standout feature - climbing ropes, baskets and platforms aimed at older kids who want a challenge. Around it are slides, swings, a seesaw, a flying fox, jungle gyms and a basketball half-court, plus expansive grass for ball games; no on-site toilets or formal car park. It is one of 43 Timaru District playgrounds and a well-rated local favourite for primary-age children and teens.
