Taumarunui Domain is a Ruapehu District Council sports park on Turaki Street, used occasionally for soccer and as the home of adult rugby, with the Taumarunui Skatepark and a Taumarunui Amateur Athletic Club track on site. A recent $200k+ playground upgrade added a double flying fox, junior and senior multi-play units, a swing zone, natural water-play area, junior play train and accessible wheelchair carousel. Picnic tables, BBQ, toilets and parking complete the precinct.
