Taupahi Reserve Park sits on Taupahi Road in Tūrangi along the Tongariro River, a Taupō District Council reserve famous as a key access point on the 13.2km Tongariro River Trail (via the SH1 underpass to the Tūrangi i-site). The grounds offer a children’s playground (with extra recently added seating), a dog play area, river walks past trout-fishing pools, picnic seating and toilets, all to the soundtrack of native birds.
