St James Park is a Christchurch City Council neighbourhood reserve on St James Avenue in Papanui, often called one of Christchurch's prettiest local parks for its tree-lined walkways and gardens. The park hosts soccer and cricket on shared fields plus the St James Park Croquet Club, with a children's playground tucked near the main entrance opposite Dalriada Street, shady seating, an off-leash dog zone, free parking and toilets nearby. It is well-regarded as a low-key family and dog-walking stop rather than a destination playground.

Great park, was awesome to see soany dog walkers, and preschoolers having a play. My pup even had the the opportunity to do some exposure to noise. The photo posted is blurred to protect the ID of the young ones

Nice park tucked away. So close to northlands but so peaceful. Older style playground with lots of beautiful trees. Plenty of space for kids to run around in too
