Soldiers Park is the South Taranaki District Council Eltham Soldiers' Memorial Park on Conway Road, a 1930s war memorial reserve that has grown into the town's main recreation hub. The park combines a playground, skate park, playing field, swimming pool and public toilets with the Eltham Golf Club and a native bush loop walkway that takes in the Mangawharawhara Stream and waterfall. Best treated as a road-trip stop in Eltham or a half-day local visit combining play with a bushwalk.
