Pioneers Park is a Nelson City Council heritage reserve in Washington Valley, created in 1929 on reclaimed Tideway land and named for the city’s early settlers. The grounds include a large grassy field, walking paths, mature shade trees and a fenced playground with a child-lock gate closing it from the road. Toilets sit on site; the park hosts community events year-round.
