Queen's Gardens is Nelson's heritage Victorian ornamental garden, first opened in 1892 to mark Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. Highlights include a colourful rose garden encircling a cupid fountain, a melodic water wheel, memorial structures, bridges, sculptures and a duck-filled ornamental lake, plus the adjacent Huangshi Chinese Garden that recognises Nelson's friendship with Huangshi, China.

This place exceeded my expectations. It’s a small but enchanting place that encourages you to pause, unwind, and appreciate the peaceful scenery. I went on a weekday late afternoon, and it was calm and quiet—absolutely delightful. Would definitely recommend! It's open 24hrs.

A great garden with lots of very interesting and rare trees. Not very big and could do with a bit more maintenance but we really enjoyed our time there. Highly recommend
