Okains Bay Camping Ground is a community-run Banks Peninsula beachfront campground 22km north-east of Akaroa, with a popular playground at its centre. The play space features two flying foxes, a climbing frame, swings and a slide. The wider site has shared kitchens, laundries, showers and toilets, direct beach access and proximity to the Okains Bay Māori and Colonial Museum and the Little Okains walking track.
