Moonshine Park is a 22.8-acre riverside reserve in Trentham between Moonshine Road and Te Awa Kairangi (the Hutt River) in Upper Hutt. The park has walking and cycling trails, picnic sites, toilets, parking, an 18-hole disc golf course and a small playground, and is used by Upper Hutt City Council for community events.

A lovely spot to stretch the legs and walk the dog, with easy routes through to Trentham Memorial Park, Barton’s Bush, or along the Hutt River Trail for scenic river views. It’s a great place for a picnic and some fresh air, and the sealed roadway provides a smooth, enjoyable cycling connection to the Hutt River Trail.
