Kulim Park is a north-facing Tauranga City Council waterfront park in Otūmoetai with a sheltered paddling beach overlooking the harbour. The upgraded playground (co-designed with Ngāi Tamarāwaho and Te Whānau a Tauwhao) blends natural play elements like stilts, logs, rocks and uneven stepping posts with classic swings, slides, seesaws, a flying fox/zipline and a small climbing hill. Adjacent are a 3v3 basketball half-court, a petanque court, coin-operated BBQs, picnic lawns, a sandpit, toilets and parking.

Such a beautiful spot! We went down for fish and chips for dinner. Plenty of areas for the boys to ride their bikes and run around. The playground is awesome! Highly recommend this spot for a fun filled afternoon in the sun!

Kulim Park is one of our favorite spots in Tauranga! It has an awesome view of Mauao/Mount Maunganui and so much to do for the whole family—playground, flying fox, basketball court, BBQs, and even a beach for swimming. Plenty of space, great facilities, and perfect for kids’ birthday parties! We had also come to see the sunset in this park/beach and it was amazing!! Just visited this park again recently, noticed that there were a few improvements. More seating spots near the basketball court.
