William Nelson Skatepark is the skate plaza component of William Nelson Park on Nelson Street North in central Hastings, opened in 2013 and shared award winner at the 2014 NZ Recreation Association Outstanding Project awards. The plaza has rails, ledges, banks and transitions for skateboarders, BMX riders and inline skaters of all levels, beside a children's playground with swings and a slide and a staffed kiosk that lends out boards, scooters and helmets.

+ Very nice, good size bowl + Tonnes of nice ledges - A few more (lower) rails would have been welcome - I can always use more, bigger ramps!
