Waterloo Park is a 6.2 acre Palmerston North City Council park on Waterloo Crescent in Hokowhitu, with a neighbourhood playground at one end, an open sports area, and walking paths winding down to the Manawatu River. Equipment leans toward the basics with swings, slides, and run-around lawn for ball games. Flat and pram-friendly, with the Hokowhitu Scout hall onsite for community use. A relaxed local stop rather than a destination playground.

You get there quite not knowing what you'll find, but hoping for gold. Neah, just a small playground and an big turf. The playground is actually good enough for kids to play, with variety of equipment, open space, and newly laid wood chippings. But that's pretty much it. And when the place is quiet, it seems far too quiet, unfortunately.
