Ruamahanga Wilderness Reserve is a Palmerston North City Council nature reserve off Ruamahanga Crescent in Terrace End, with a riverside walkway and bike trail connecting through native bush down to the Manawatū River. The reserve is popular as an off-leash dog exercise area and works well as a longer family bushwalk and bike outing rather than a structured playground stop. Best treated as a nature visit combined with the wider Manawatū River shared pathway network.
