Anzac Park (Te Motu o Poutoa) is a Palmerston North City Council clifftop memorial reserve on Cliff Road in Fitzherbert, established in 1916 to commemorate fallen Gallipoli soldiers and those serving on the Western Front. The 17.8 acre reserve overlooks the Manawatu River and Manawatu Golf Course with views to Ruapehu and Taranaki on clear days, and is a sacred Rangitane site with the urupa between Cliff Road and the riverbank. Well-maintained walking trails replace any built playground. A reflective heritage and clifftop walking park rather than a play space.

Great lookout point to oversee a lot of Palmerston North. Was good sitting today while my baby slept for a bit. Great and clear view of Mt Ruapehu in the distance

About time this was reopened to the public. That's something at least. Beautiful view over a city that gets a bad rap. Love this place to go chill and enjoy the vibe. Kinda one of my zen spots. If you ever see a guy smoking hookah/ shisha up there come say hi 😁🔥 Its my regular parkup spot.
