Victoria Esplanade is Palmerston North's flagship 27ha riverside park beside the Manawatū River, with the region's largest destination playground. Equipment includes a flying fox, in-ground trampolines, mouse wheel, basket swing, whisper dishes, dynamic climbing frames, the Rocktopus, forts with large slides and a separate fenced under-fives area. The park also offers a scenic miniature railway, aviary, rose garden, café, picnic and BBQ facilities, ample parking and toilets.

The most beautiful park in Palmerston North. There is a big rose garden with lots of rose species. The Wildbase Recovery Center is a good place for enhancing and understanding wildlife animals in New Zealand 🇳🇿. A long walking road near the park, across a small forest, makes us feel like escaping the daily busy routine. A wonderful place to go and enjoy the nature!
So much to do here, from looking at birds in the avory, to big long walks, some next to the river, beaitiful flowers and a duck pond, coffee shop and a splash pool for kids as well as a train ride. Perfect place to chill and great for families
