Good open wide area. Good car parking even along the street.

Ongley Park is Palmerston North’s headline sports park on Park Road, hosting cricket in summer and rugby in winter across up to 13 fields, with six artificial and eight grass cricket wickets, outdoor nets and an indoor cricket training centre. Alongside the sports facilities sit a skate park and a children’s playground, close to the Manawatū Riverside Walkway. Picnic tables, toilets and parking are on site, and the park is a frequent venue for community festivals.

Nice place for a picnic and dog walk. I'm having trouble walking, more than usual and ghe paving is nice and level. Plenty of plants for a sniffy walk. 2 benches to sit on. One is a flat seat, the other angled
