Te Kōtuitanga / Olympic Park is an Auckland Council park spanning Wolverton Street to Portage Road in Blockhouse Bay/New Lynn, with two playgrounds and a $2.2m playground renewal completed in the Whau ward. The main Wolverton Street playground combines toddler slides and swings, climbing and rocking equipment, a climbing net for older children, a flying fox and a large shade-covered sandpit. A smaller Portage Road playground has a slide, swings and an accessible basket swing. Around it sit sports fields, a basketball area, a perimeter path, drinking fountains, toilets, gentle sealed lit paths and accessible parking.

A lovely park with great facilities. It has public toilets, car parking, benches to sit and eat, and a nice playground for children. There’s also a football field right beside it. A pleasant place for walking and relaxing.

Name of the park came from its association with the Olympic Games & its sporting facilities, having produced several Olympic athletes since the late 1930s...
