Blockhouse Bay Playground sits in the Blockhouse Bay Recreation Reserve on Terry Street, a short walk from Āmio / Blockhouse Bay beach in west Auckland. The pirate-themed play area has two climbing frames, swings including a colourful basket swing, a slide, seesaw and a small merry-go-round, alongside outdoor adult fitness equipment, a maintained soccer field, clean toilets and ample parking. Visitors describe it as a peaceful family-friendly local rather than a destination playground.

Good place for kids and young teenagers to play; however it could have more instruments for kids playing. Has many parking spaces and toilet facilities for men and women.

Well maintained and interesting playground. Plenty of parking. Separate area with public exercise equipment for adults too! Public bathroom also available.
