Taupō Lakefront Reserve is the Taupō District Council waterfront park strip running along Lake Terrace from the Taupō Yacht Club around the lake. The playground sits right on the lakefront with dual flying foxes, climbing frames, slides, an in-ground trampoline, a mini toddler-play area and a water-play zone for hot days, all with views directly across Lake Taupō. Picnic tables, public toilets and parking are alongside.

Taupō Lakefront Reserve is a beautiful and relaxing place to spend time by the water. The views across Lake Taupō are stunning, with plenty of open space for walking, picnics, or simply sitting and enjoying the scenery. It’s especially nice on a clear day when you can see the mountains in the distance. The area is well maintained and family friendly, with playgrounds, walking and cycling paths, and easy access to cafés and shops nearby. Whether you’re out for a stroll, exercising, or watching the sunset, Taupō Lakefront Reserve is a must-visit spot in Taupō.
