Pihanga Reserve is a neighbourhood park playground in Taupō, accessed off Rotokawa Street and sharing the reserve with a free outdoor gym. A 2021 Taupō District Council upgrade added a rope bridge, climbing net, stepping logs and zig zag walk, all sitting on synthetic safety surfacing alongside the existing equipment. It suits primary-school-aged kids and works as a quick local stop rather than a destination day-out.
