Silverstream Park is a small Upper Hutt City Council neighbourhood reserve at 17 Whitemans Road in Silverstream, directly opposite Silverstream Village. The recently upgraded playground packs more than 30 activities into a colourful design suited to preschoolers and primary-age children, plus a separate set of swings for older children. Open grass space for cricket and ball games, picnic tables and toilets sit alongside.

The park feels timeless, with sunlight filtering through the trees in dappled patterns, creating a play of light and shadow. Every detail seems to whisper calmness, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking solitude or simply a moment to connect with nature.
Good area for kids, Although two days in a row saw these kids 15-16 yr old abusing the playground and digging the bark chips and dirt out in middle of playground. I spoke to them saying I didn't think they should be doing that, and was told they would clear it up to when finished. Sorry, but shouldn't he doing in first place.
