Shoesmith Domain Recreation Reserve is an 8.4-acre Auckland Council reserve on Shoesmith Street in Warkworth, alongside Te Kura o Puhinui / Warkworth Primary School. The 2022 destination playground was co-designed with 96 local students and Ngāti Manuhiri around the legend of Tāne and the three Baskets of Knowledge - a bespoke giant tower, warping wall and climbing equipment, balancing beams, slides, swings, inclusive wheelchair-accessible carousel and trampolines (including inground trampolines), with picnic areas, accessible parking, toilets and a perimeter path improving access. Well-rated as a top family destination in north Auckland.
