Queens Park is Invercargill's 80-hectare flagship park, with the city's premier inclusive playground at its heart. The playground caters for all ages and abilities with swings (including an accessible hydraulic swing), slides, climbing structures and a water play splash pad, plus sensory equipment and accessible paths. The wider park surrounds the play area with botanic gardens, a free animal reserve, an 18-hole golf course, a 4km fitness trail, the Southland Museum site, public toilets and multiple parking entrances.

Great experience to visit this place. Invercargill it’s self beautiful and peaceful city, doesn’t have much to do this place makes visitor must go place. Beautifully managed overall and hand crafted garden with love and care in Invercargill style. Awesome Japanese garden is an extra touch. Kids can enjoy watching Ostrich and lama and other semi domestic animals. Wheel chair friendly and does have bathroom facilities.

Wow. We booked a free tour of the aviary and animal sanctuary online and we had the best time. Our tour guides were both fabulous and we had great fun watching the animals and learning all about them. What a gem of a thing to do in Invercargill. Would visit again and again.
