Pōhutukawa Park is a Kāpiti Coast District Council neighbourhood park on Makarini Street in Paraparaumu, opened after a community-led playground build. It pairs swings, slides and nature-play features with a large grassy lawn, seating, shade trees, four-square markings and a community orchard of apples, plums, lemons and feijoas. The spread-out layout means several family groups can use it at once without crowding, which makes it a reliable weekend stop for Kāpiti locals. On-street parking on Makarini Street is straightforward.
