Pōhutukawa Park is a Kāpiti Coast District Council neighbourhood park on Makarini Street in Paraparaumu, designed as a spacious local play space with a wide age range. The play space combines swings, slides and a nature play area with a four-square court, ample open lawn for kick-arounds, picnic seating under shade, and a community orchard of apple, feijoa, lemon, plum and walnut trees. On-street parking is available; Bus 262 stops nearby. Best treated as a comfortable Paraparaumu local family stop with some quirky community planting.

Asking my 8 year old she gave the park a 4.8 because the swings need to be higher and less slippery, should be plastic matting not bark, rock wall should be real rocks not plastic, needs a bigger slide. Has 4.8 stars because it has swings, is cute, overgrown, nice paths, and has soccer goals,

Great big field and my kid enjoyed the repurposed wood more than the playground
