Monorgan Road Play Area is a Wellington City Council neighbourhood playground at 2 Walden Street in Strathmore Park, serving the immediate community within an 800-metre walk. The renewed play space (selected by community consultation) features a flying fox, slides, swings, climbing, seesaw and a small bike track, with shade, solar-powered toilets, a drinking fountain and picnic seating. Sometimes called Helicopter Park by locals.

Known as "The helicopter playground". The playground is well equipped with swings, slides, climbing activities and a big bike track. There is a basketball half court in the corner. There are toilets located near the playground and a water fountain. Generally fairly sheltered from the wind and there is some shade offered by trees on the park edge.

A great park. Love the chopper. Also the cycle track is awesome so learning to ride. Will be going again
