Chelsea Street Play Area is a Wellington City Council junior playground on Chelsea Street in Miramar, next to the Miramar and Maupuia Community Centre. The Creo-designed play space leans into the suburbs aviation history with aeroplane and flight motifs in Wellington colours, packing in climbing structures, a spinner, spring toys, swings, slides, a seesaw, and small trampolines under generous shade sails. Picnic tables, parking, and a grassed kick-around area sit alongside, with toilets a short walk away by Miramar shops. A relaxed accessible toddler stop rather than a destination playground.

Fantastic playground, hidden off the road, with parking and a bike pump track. This cute playground is modern, has plenty of equipment for children of all ages to enjoy, a variety of swings (including an accessible swing with a seatbelt), and even a little bike pump track that is gentle and easy for toddlers. Best of all, it's located off the street and is safe enough for children to roam around everywhere - despite no fences.
Brand new playground, just been updated! It has an awesome airplane theme being so close to the airport, and a bike track around the outside with a couple of speed bumps. There is a great space for toddlers to play, as well as older kids. The only downfall is the trampoline is made of a strange material and isn’t very bouncy
