Milverton Park is a Palmerston North City Council neighbourhood park in Hokowhitu, gifted to the city by William Milverton in 1925 with the condition it remain free for public recreation. The upgraded playground combines a fenced toddler area (tunnel, slide, bridge) with a towering jungle-gym fort for older kids (steep slides, mouse wheel, swings, balance beam carved from an old tree, climbing areas, bridges). Eco-friendly materials including recycled tyres and sustainably sourced wood, plus natural play features like climbing logs and trees, are woven through the design, with an inclusive Buddy Bench in the play area.
