Milverton Park, gifted to Palmerston North in 1925 by William Milverton, is now the city’s first ‘smart park’ on Ferguson Street/Victoria Avenue in Hokowhitu. The headline playground centres on a towering fortress jungle-gym with steep slides, tunnels, monkey bars, mouse wheel, climbing ropes and a large balance beam carved from an old tree, alongside a younger toddler area with tunnel, slide and bridge. Fencing, picnic seating, shade, toilets and a buddy bench round it out, plus the Biba interactive play app integration.

Great park perfect for family or group outing. Love the new playgrounds, there’s toilet, picnic tables, a volleyball field and basketball court. My kids love playing rugby there, kick and chase etc. our church family often go there to play volleyball and basketball. It would be nice to add bbq grill there.
