McMurdo Park is a Queenstown Lakes District Council reserve on Dale Street in Albert Town, north-east of Wānaka, with a walkway entrance between 18 and 20 Ash Avenue. Named after Marg McMurdo for her work lobbying for the facility, the park is one of Albert Town's most-used public spaces, combining a children's playground with tennis and netball courts, a soccer goal, public BBQs, bike rack and a shelter. Toilets and parking are on site. Best treated as a community hub for sport, play and a casual BBQ.

Another great Wanaka playground. Has heaps of cool equipment for the kids. A nice big green and feels very safe.
